Chapel Lane

Chapel Lane is a contemporary residential development completed by Barar Homes in 2024 following the demolition and redevelopment of two dilapidated semi-detached properties in High Wycombe.

The scheme comprises a collection of high-specification two-bedroom apartments together with a detached family home, designed with a strong emphasis on modern construction methods, energy-efficient performance, and long-term durability.

SIPs construction was utilised to improve thermal performance, airtightness, structural efficiency, and programme delivery, while maintaining the appearance and longevity of traditional masonry construction through the use of a brick external façade. The homes also incorporate air source heat pumps, upgraded insulation measures, and passive ventilation systems aimed at reducing operational energy demand while enhancing occupant comfort throughout the year.

Particular attention was given to internal layout efficiency, natural light, and creating practical living spaces that combine contemporary design with long-term functionality. Clean architectural detailing, carefully considered specification, and durable material choices were integrated throughout the development to create homes designed for both performance and everyday usability.

The project reflects a broader focus on thoughtful development, careful execution, and creating homes that balance modern design, efficient performance, and long-term durability.
